- Don’t be rude to them – If they broke something then replace it and tell them to be more careful the next time. If you resented to them then they might stay away from you.
- If you have a small child, don’t restrict them to play with their grandparents – This can hurt their feelings.
- Let them do small things like washing dishes or gardening – It can remove their boredom. It can also help to maintain the sharpness of their brain.
- Try to listen to their problem and suggest possible solution – Always ask if they have problem with their health or if they have problem with other family members.
- Take them to malls or restaurants – If they see something new while travelling, their brains will start to function.
- Always have a conversation with them – If they don’t have a family member to talk to, they tend to think of their past experiences thus they will self-pity.
- Reunion can help – If they see that their family were gathered and celebrating, this can help them to be happy.
- Install handles and bars in your house – This could help a lot in their walking. If you are away you are confident to leave them because you know that you install support bars for them. This can also help to build their self confidence.

- Cook with extra fat and flavouring - Most senior loss their appetite when they reach the age of 65.
